Kir Royale
The Kir is named after its jovial French creator, Lejay connoisseur Canon Felix Kir (who was also the mayor of Dijon) invented the first cassis cocktail, the Kir, made with white wine, and the Kir Royal, made with champagne.

Crème de Cassis

bottle Champagne or other sparkling white wine
6
strips tangerine or orange zest
for garnish
Instructions
Just before serving, pour 1 floz Creme de Cassis into each glass. Fill with Champagne, and garnish with zest.
