Incorporating Table to Farm into Syrups:

Using organic seasonal fruits and vegetables in making cocktails elevates the taste profile and subtle flavors.  Think of a fresh from the garden strawberry versus the ones that have picked so green that the insides are white and crunchy.

Syrups are a great way to add taste to your cocktails and are surprisingly easy to make.  Equal parts sugar and water make a simple syrup that you can infuse with all kinds of flavors from flowers and fruit to vegetables.  Try soaking ginger, fresh berries, basil or other herbs in your syrup, then strain and enjoy.

Flavorful Ices

Ices are another great way to add flavor and color by freezing fresh ingredients in the ice and using them in cocktails or punches.

Making Shrubs or Syrups:

You can also replace the water with a vinegar to make your own scrub.

Chocolate Mint

Chocolate Mint

Muddle one bunch Chocolate Mint with 1 cup sugar.  Though chocolate mint is named more for the color of its branches than for the flavor, there’s enough of a hint to add a refreshing twist to chocolatey flavors.

Farm to Table Cocktails:

Farm to Table uses natural ingredients like Honey Syrup, which is just raw honey mixed with a little warm water.  Raw honey differs from regular honey and carries more flavor.  Try Orange Blossom, Neem, White or Acecia.  Try it in cocktails like Honey That’s a Cocktail, Brown Derby, Bee’s Knees and Honey Gingerbread.
